LC/EF in action

This is the Laser Holder REV 2 during prototyping. The operation depicted is the 3rd out of five that are required to machine the holder.

The specific modification is pocketing a .5" hole in the bottom of the holder so the LC/EF can be stored with the polarizer attached.

The work coordinate offset for each part was located using a LC/EF. In this example, the parts are too close together to use a .5" or .375" edge finder.
